Contributing Writer, Shameless Magazine, Broken Pencil Magazine and Hey Alma

Wrote several feature stories for Shameless, a feminist magazine based in Toronto, and Hey

Alma, an online publication on Jewish and feminist issues.

• Stories for Shameless include “How Moose Hide Campaign Founder Raven Lacerte is

Spreading Medicine Across Canada,” a profile of Canadian activist Raven Lacerte,

who works to spread awareness of issues faced by Indigenous women in Canada.

• Stories for Hey Alma include “The Mitzvah of Fostering a Dog,” which ties the act of

dog fostering to the Jewish value of “welcoming the stranger.”

• Wrote reviews of Canadian books for Broken Pencil Magazine.

• Reported the divisive impact of book bans throughout the US for a 900-word capstone

story. Featured a quote from acclaimed author Judy Blume.

• Developed shooting and editing skills for short videos with Adobe Premiere.

• Co-produced a short documentary about pigeon rescuers in New York City.

• Masters project: produced 4500-word story about community-based approaches to

treating chronic mental illness under the supervision of Paula Span.
